Google Ads: Learn To Run Winning Ad Campaigns
Master Google Ads, Proven Strategies for High-Impact Campaigns

Prepare to Run Ads
Before you run Google Ads there are some things you need to do.
Check if your conversion rate x average checkout is $2+
Have at least a $600/month ad budget for at least three consecutive months.
Drive organic traffic and revenue to your site.
Create a Google Ads account.

Define Your Goal
Every ad campaign should have a specific goal. Most people want conversions (email signups or customer purchases), but you might also want to build brand awareness or help potential customers learn about your company.
For your first campaign, it’s normally best to focus on conversions. People often feel like they waste money if they focus on other goals and don’t get customers.

Create a Campaign
Choose the type of campaign. Most will want to use just search, but there are lots of options. Performance Max is all types of campaigns in one.
You want to use the Keyword Planner to choose 5-15 keywords that are closely related. Once you’ve chosen the keywords. You’ll also want to set your budget.

Create Your Ads
You’ll want to create the ads. There will be two parts for search ads, the headline (30 characters are best) and the description (under 140 characters). Make sure to include:
Keywords (Must be in heading)
Business Name
Product or Service
Benefits
Features
Call To Action
You can have up to 5 headlines and 5 descriptions. Use all of them. You want different variations so the system can mix and match them to find the best performing ads.

Build a Landing Page
You’ll want to make sure you have a landing page optimized for your keywords and the search intent. For instance, the ads above would go to the page Google Ads for Beginners - UpFlip.
You can use software like SurferSEO to grade the content.

Verify Where You Lose Visitors On Your Landing Page

Optimize Your Ads
On a weekly basis you need to check your ad performance and perform the following tasks:
Replace low-performing keywords.
Adjust budgets that have surpluses or run out each week.
Adjust max bid by no more than +/-25% to maximize how far your daily budget goes.
You’ll also want to verify that your landing page is still relevant on a monthly basis.

At this point you should have a basic understanding of what you need to do to find success with Google Ads.
